Legal Interpreting Rates:

• Hourly Rate- $60.00 with a two-hour minimum.

Medical Interpreting Rates:

• Hourly Rate- $50.00 with a two-hour minimum.

There is no mileage billed for the interpreter traveling less than 30 miles from her place of residence (Herndon, VA). However, if the interpreter travels 30 miles or more one way from his or her residence the following apply:  $0.445 per mile round trip (state approved mileage rate) plus travel time which is billed at $30 per hour of travel round trip.

Notification of cancellation 24 hours or more prior to the start time of the assignment must be given to the interpreter. If an assignment is canceled with less than a 24 hour notice, the payment will be billed in full for the time requested.

Full day requests (8 total hours) canceled less than one day (24 hours) before the assignment is to begin are billed for 4 hours of service. Requests for more than one day canceled less than one day (24 hours) before the assignment is to begin are billed for 8 hours of service.
